Review: The Radical Book for Kids

`The Radical Book for Kids: Exploring the Roots and Shoots of Faith` written by Champ Thornton, written for ages 8-14. However, ages up through adult is perfect. I fell in love with this hardcover book as soon as I saw it. This book is a must have for all ages. There is so much to explore; to read and do. Simple enough for your average 8-year-old, but deep enough for an adult.

Some of the chapters are: 'How to Understand the Bible.' 'Rules, Rules, Rules,' 'How Do We Know the Bible is True?' and' How to make your own sling. The contents lists such amazing items it's hard to pick what to do first. It would take literally hours, possibly days, to read and do everything listed.

The book flows easily moving the reader from section-section. For example, the first four chapters list the Bible, God, and the Good News! I like the cover because it shows an illustration of a boy and a girl and what I imagine to be the Tree of Knowledge. Knowledge of all the information the children can relate to. The primary medium used in the illustrations are drawings.

I would recommend this book to ages 8 and up.
