Rick & Bubba's Big Honkin Book of Grub


                     This is a fun paperback book. Rick Burgess and Bill "Bubba" Bussey  begin this book talking about diets. Diets such as South Beach, Atkins and Weigh Down are discussed. Most important is Rick and Bubba's `Hey You Gotta Live` Diet. This diet includes processed sugar, white bread, animal fat and red meat.
                      Rick and Bubba's philosophy is, `continue to support all food...only do it in moderation.` Their weightloss tips are hilarious. I found myself agreeing and nodding my head more than once.
                      The book is well illustrated. I enjoyed looking at the pictures scattered throughout the book. The text is large font, so even a reader with limited vision could easily enjoy reading it.
                       The Rick and Bubba diet gives you seven free days to eat what you want and zero diet days. This is definitely not a boring book, with lots of humor thrown in.
                       Throughout the book there are top ten lists for things such as weight loss, turkey toss, and reasons to attend the Annual Spam Festival.
                       The reader feels like they are part of an audience as Rick and Bubba dialogue between themselves.
                         I found it interesting to learn that their are fewer reports of food poisoning from sushi than from salad bars. Rick and Bubba tell you how to eat, where to eat and even their culinary pet peeves.
                         This book would be highly recommended for someone who is interested in cooking and eating habits, but don't like the guilt that accompanies many "Diet Books."
