Review: Bedtime Read and Rhyme Bible Stories

Book Description

Our God cares for us so much—His love is everywhere! If He sees one heart in need, His love will be right there.
When Jesus finds a lamb who’s lost,
He sings a happy song!
“My lamb is safe now in My arms,
Where all My sheep belong!”
Bedtime Read and Rhyme Bible Stories offers more than 90 stories from the Old and New Testaments told in delightful, rhyming verse, along with Bedtime Prayers that help young readers grasp and apply each message.
Tuck in your child with rhyming reminders of God’s great love!

`Bedtime Read and Rhyme Bible Stories` is written for a young reader. Short paragraphs coupled with a short prayer would allow the parent to read it to an even younger child. This hardback book is well made, with beautiful color illustrations and a built-in cloth bookmark. The book is organized from Old Testament to New Testament which is suitable for the intended reader. The rhyme is the literary tool used in this book. Some examples are: " 'Let there be light!' And it was so! The time had come for nothingness to go . And God wanted the whole wide world to know, How big His love can be! It's not just for kings or fancy folks, It's for everyone's heart to see."

The primary medium used in the illustrations is colorful drawings. The drawings are so diverse, it's hard to find a single example that would be most effective in telling the story as a whole. Each beautiful drawing is made especially for that particular story. The artwork is well developed and  appropriate for each subject presented.

I believe this book would make a great Christmas present for young children.
