Review: Wreck My Life

What if we began to recognize trouble and adversity as sacred, rather than scarring?
Jesus promises peace and trouble for His followers. But most of us accept the peace and are confused and angry when adversity comes our way, turning our backs to God in the midst of our pain.

All-American soccer star Mo Isom knows the struggle firsthand. While her life seemed like a success on the surface, behind closed doors she was suffering through an eating disorder, the suicide of her father, and a horrific car accident. It wasn't until God wrecked her life that she finally found life and discovered the true glory of renewal through Jesus Christ.

Take the journey from broken to bold and learn to surrender your life to the King who was first wrecked on your behalf.
`Wreck My Life` is a Christian living memoir written by MO ISOM. Author Mo Isom was an All-American goalkeeper for Lousiana State University soccer team and the first female to try out for an SEC men's football team.

This short book, 180 pages, reminds Christians that there will be trouble in this world, but in Him we are offered divine hope in the depths of defeat.

I like how open and honest the author was about her past struggles. From over-exercising (stretching her body beyond all odds), to her struggles with eating disorders. Things began to change for the better after she read a Bible verse that said, "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Matt. 11:28) At that time she gave God all the glory for her achievements. God had to bring Mo Isom to the end of herself before she truly and thoroughly gave herself to Him.

I recommend this book to all sports fans, seekers and believers.
