Review: Sins of the Past
`Sins of the Past` is a romantic suspense novella with three different stories written by three different authors. The theme is the danger that never seems to go away. This novella was published in 2016 for those who like romantic suspense.
The first story is `Missing` written by author Dee Henderson. Police Chief John Graham and Lieutenant Sharon Noble are working together to find the chief's mother who has been missing for two days. The story is set in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The police and detectives are working well together on this missing person report. There are only 8 chapters, so I finished this story in one day.
The second story is `Shadowed` written by author Dani Pettrey. Libby Jennings is swimming for her life, over 12 miles. She is surrounded by other swimmers, one of them may be out to kill her.
While watching for whales from his boat Ben McKenna and Libby Jennings find a drowned body. It is a body of someone Libby knew.
`Shadowed` is the prequel to Dani Pettrey's series `Alaskan Courage`.
The third, and last, story in this novella is `Blackout` written by Lynette Eason. Protagonist Macey Adams, once involved in a robbery, has blocked out all memory of the robbery. Now the real criminal seeks after her to kill her. Will she regain her memory in time to save herself?
While all three stories are wholesome/clean and suspenseful, I would say only one of them had me on the edge of my chair. I liked all the stories and would like to read more by these authors.
Question: What if the past caught up with you? How would that look?
