About
In a time of sacrifice, what price can one put on true love?

`Anchor in the Storm` is a historical romance novel written by Sarah Sundin. This is the second in the `Waves of Freedom` series, the first novel in the series is `Through Waters Deep`.
The main characters are Lillian Avery, WWII female pharmacist, and Ensign Archer Vendenberg, society boy. The year is 1941 and the setting is Boston, it's the beginning  of WWII.
Lillian Avery wore a prosthesis and Arch Vandenberg was hurt on a Navy ship at sea. Arch taught Lillian how to ice skate even with her prosthesis. Lillian and Arch are two characters that work well together. They worked as partners in finding why the Navy crew were acting like they were drunk even though they didn't have access to alcohol. This led to a great twist and gripping suspense. Was a doctor using his power to help a drug ring?
I recommend this novel to readers who like gripping suspense, historical fiction, historical Romance or interested in WWII novels.
