Review: Plain Fame
The setting is Lancaster County, Pennsylvania which Sarah shares her own experience of living among the Amish. Unlike most Amish, the Beiler family only had 3 children. Two daughters, and a son who died at age 12.
Alejandro was a famous entertainer with a bad-boy image. Love them and leave them was his motto. However, his life was about to change. His performer name is known as Viper, the sexiest sting in the world. This book is different from other Amish novels I have read. Instead of the Amish seeking the life of the Englishers, Alejandro sought the Amish. The Amish live a much simpler life.
I was surprised at how quick the novel ended, leaving the reader hanging. There is a glossary that has a section for Pennsylvania Dutch and one for the Spanish language. There is also a sampling of the second book, `Plain Change` which I would like to read. Because of the unnecessary mention of sex I give this book 4* out of 5*.
