(1) What is the hardest thing about writing? For me, the hardest thing is getting that first draft out of my head and down on paper (or computer screen.) Once I get my idea and figure out my characters and place I’m ready to write that first line. Sometimes all goes well with the story for a while, but I generally hit a spot while writing when I wonder if the story is working, if I even have an idea worth pursuing, if what I’m writing makes any sense. The words for the next scenes can come hard then as I push through this lag in my writing energy. Writing a story is exciting. I love it, but it is rarely easy to get from Chapter 1 through thousands of words to the end. But once I have my first draft, I’m happy to edit. That’s the easy work for me. (1) What do you like to do in your spare time?
Spare time? What's that? You must mean the extra time I had before grandkids? LOL. ;-) Well, I used to love to garden and oil paint, but I've had to put those aside for now. I do have a reef tank aquarium in my office that I really enjoy maintaining. (2) What is your, just for fun, book?
You'll laugh at this, but anything by Ted Dekker is my go-to book for entertainment. I normally read historical romance, but Ted's books are scary, supernatural, Biblical, and page-turning. Love them! (3) During a chat what would your cup be filled to the brim with?
