`Saving Cicadas` (by) Nicole Seitz

Priscilla Lynn Macy was a single working woman with two young girls, Rainey Dae and Janie. Priscilla finds herself pregnant and having to decide whether to keep the unborn baby or not.  The novel begins with the question "Do you believe in.....past lives?"
Although the beginning of the novel is well written, I felt the excitement build when the cicadas came into the story. This book is about miracles, and holds many little tidbits exemplifying childlike faith.
I like the way each character tells the story from their own point of view. I found myself laughing at times as well as moments of saddness.
Although I wouldn't recommend this book for the tender-hearted I feel Nicole Seitz use of characterization was excellent.

`Though Waters Roar` (by) Lynn Austin

Throughout the novel we find that each day is a gift. God gives us that gift each morning when the sun rises. We have no guarantee for tomorrow because life has no guarantees.
When the sun comes up we need to ask the Lord, "What would you like me to do for you today." That's how you'll find contentment.
Lynn Austin teaches us that we have to move on and change. Trust God and be prepared for wherever He leads you. I would recommend this novel for those seeking contentment in their daily walk through life.

`The Rose Legacy` (by) Kristen Heitzmann

This is the kind of book you'll want to read. Although the introduction starts out slowly, after the first chapter the book picks up and you want to continue reading.
Carina leaves Sonoma, California and makes it to Crystal, Colorado only to meet two shady characters and soon learns her new home has been taken over by scoundrels. Having had most all her belongings tipped over the side of the mountain and having to sleep in a mouse infested room, what else can happen? You'll have to read the book to find out.
Kristen really thinks outside the box, entertaining the imagination, and satisfying the adventurous side of the reader.

Letter from JESUS

Letter from Jesus about Christmas --
Dear Children,

It has come to my attention that many of you are upset that folks are taking My name out of the season. Maybe you've forgotten that I wasn't actually born during this time of the year and that it was some of your predecessors who decided to celebrate My birthday on what was actually a time of pagan festival. . . although I do appreciate being remembered anytime.

How I personally feel about this celebration can probably be most easily understood by those of you who have been blessed with children of your own. I don't care what you call the day. If you want to celebrate My birth, just GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

Now, having said that let Me go on. If it bothers you that the town in which you live doesn't allow a scene depicting My birth, then just get rid of a couple of Santas and snowmen and put in a small Nativity scene on your own front lawn. If all My followers did that there wouldn't be any need for such a s…
